UnTherapy

Anyone
who has ever attended traditional academic schools knows
that this style of learning pulls students away from their
hearts and into their heads. This may be why so many patients
have a difficult time relating to doctors and therapists.
They live in different worlds. To bridge this gap, Sunny
Massad, Ph.D., Founder and President of the Hawaii Wellness
Institute, trademarked a system of counseling geared particularly
to ordinary people with common problems.
The UnTherapy®
system of Wellness Counseling is based upon the type of
peer counseling that is used in Alcoholics Anonymous.
Sober alcoholics have proven to be effective in helping
other alcoholics to get and stay sober. With some basic
counseling skills, lay people can be equally as effective
in helping others move through personal life experiences
similar to their own. For example, single mothers who
counsel single mothers are empathic and understanding
of the special needs of that population. Likewise, adults
who once were troubled teens are highly effective at counseling
trouble teens, because they remember the issues that caused
them to act out. UnTherapy ® is the least expensive
and most empowering style of counseling that healthy individuals
can experience. Of course, people who suffer from maladies
that require therapeutic intervention are better off going
to a licensed psychologist.
UnTherapy® puts
behavior and attitude change back into the hands of the
client. This style of counseling uses the Socratic method.
The counselor asks questions to provoke the client’s
unconscious. This system stimulates the creative side
of the brain to discover answers that had not yet been
explored. The client becomes empowered with a new method
that helps him or her to solve problems in such an efficient
manner that worry and fear begin dissipating after just
one session. If you are interested in knowing more about
