Thank you for your support of the Hawaii Wellness Institute (HWI). Your contributions have made a significant impact on the lives of over 2,200 participants, nearly 300 scholarship recipients, several organizations and nonprofits, as well as assisting in the success of our Annual Health and Wellness Celebration, our Bizarre Bazaar, and our High Tea!

We find ourselves reflecting on what we have accomplished during our first six years as a non-profit organization. HWI has:

• established the Hawaii Wellness Retreat House;
• honored individuals and organizations for their contributions to health and wellness at our annual Health and Wellness Celebration;
• offered over 220 workshops, trainings, certifications and retreats;
• actively participated in the Maui Life Fest and the Hawaii Women's Expo, among many other tradeshows and events;
• been approved as a provider of continuing education units for nurses statewide;
• saved the name Hawaii Wellness from lawsuits, for use of the wellness community in our state;
• developed a new set of programs for local and visiting organizations;
• provided internship opportunities for students from the University of Hawaii, Chaminade University, Hawaii Business College and the Leadership Program at the East West Center;
• subcontracted doctors, psychologists, naturopathic physicians and others in the wellness industry to teach the public;
• afforded volunteer opportunities to dozens community members.

The mission of the Hawaii Wellness Institute is to provide state-of-the-art learning opportunities to educate and inspire Hawaii's adults, businesses and visitors. HWI offers affordable and convenient experiences which promote self-development, personal reflection, rejuvenation, healthy and balanced lifestyles, professional enhancement and preventive approaches to health and wellness. We take a zen approach to life transformation.

In this annual appeal, our goal is to raise $10,000, which will enable the Hawaii Wellness Institute to:

• provide more scholarships;
• widen our community outreach;
• fund another Health and Wellness Celebration to recognize the contributions of others;
• expand our programs for groups and organizations;
• expand our organizational capacity.
